Skiffle Puts On The Style
A wonderfull show revamping the skiffle sound of the 50s attracted crowds of fans on Saturday October 18.Paul Leegan is well known for his skiffle performances closeness to the star who he shared a close friendship with, the man who was a pioneer of the British pop scene. Paul took to the stage at the Prince of Wales Centre in Church Street at 7.30pm with his ever popular show.
Saturday’s show "Putting On The Style" feature the classics Rock Island Line, Have A Drink On Me and Michael Row The Boat ashore among others.
Lonnie Donegan gained a reputation for being the King of Skiffle in the 1950s and was known by world famous stars such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Kinks and Van Morrison who all started in skiffle groups.
